Cate is a Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist and Certified Anusara Yoga instructor who offers The Ayurvedic Living Courses, a 9-month teleconference course, to assist people in applying Ayurvedic wisdom to enhance daily living and shift lifestyles to support evolving consciousness. Making Peace Through Yoga

How can one person make a difference in the turbulence of the Middle East or create conditions to change gang violence in inner cities? Instead of giving into apathy and despair, David Sye, founder of an unconventional style of yoga called YogaBeats, tackles both head-on (or should we say “on the head”) using yoga. In the West Bank, he’s brought together Palestinian and Israeli women to do yoga with transformational results. He’s also bringing yoga to at-risk youths, addicts and gang members in Glasgow and London. Called the “Bad Boy of Yoga”, David is both highly irreverent and thoroughly reverent. His deepest hope is that “in his lifetime, yoga will be seen as a transformational tool and not just a middle class indulgence.”

Whitney Wogan, Jeanie Manchester & Sarah Hoskin Clymer – Sometimes life doesn’t go as you planned … as was the case on today’s show! Due to a scheduling error, we missed our interview with Claire Zammit and Katherine Woodward Thomas from Women on the Edge of Evolution. Don’t despair though … the interview has been rescheduled for April 5th! We had a delightful conversation about women’s relationships … exploring both the dark side of cat fights, gossip and competition as well as the power of evolutionary partnerships which Claire and Katherine will talk more about in April. These relationships are generative, co-creative and collaborative; they bring out and demand the best in each of us. And isn’t that, ultimately, what we want?
