Embracing the Chrysalis

Whitney, Sarah, Jeanie, Hosts of Own It, Sister! Radio

A dragonfly flew into the kitchen the minute before we went on the air last week! Don’t you love the way the Universe works? Dragonfly medicine suggests a time of change. At Own It, Sister!, we’re heeding the call. Even though we have close to 40,000 subscribers, we’re each responding to a deep impulse to go into the chrysalis, melt into the imago and connect deeply to our “it”. This show will be our last weekly podcast for a while. We’re letting go of the format and structure we’ve so enjoyed over this last year. It’s unexpected and uncomfortable – but imagine how the caterpillar feels when the change comes upon it. One minute it’s munching away on delicious leaves; the next it feels itself starting to dissolve.

The three of us, individually and as a collective, are walking our talk (literally) and “owning it”. Sarah will be walking the Celtic Camino beginning September 29. Jeanie will be integrating the path of the householder yogini and teaching at her home studio, Anjaneya Yoga Shala. Whitney will be translating the macroeconomic picture with an emphasis on the practical in her Money Moxie blog — an interesting and enticing read even for the economic-and-financially phobic. Own It, Sister! will be like the chrysalis, holding us as we come to know and express ourselves in a more true and aligned way.

Cultivating Your Magnificence

Marianne Weidlein, BSBA, facilitates Renewal Programs for women in mentorship, leadership, and key decision-making roles. She believes that the heart and its wisdom must come alive… the heart of each of us in caring for ourselves, in caring for each other, in caring for all life. An awakened heart inspires wisdom, from there all is cultivated and well-tended. Women tend the heart. We are the nurturers and protectors of life. Clearly, it is time for us to assist humanity into a thriving future.

Marianne will talk with us about how we, as women, can free up our cramped energy to create the life you want. This in turn cultivates our magnificence and profoundly changes our perspective, and the quality of our performance, relationships, and life. Marianne is an author, transformational facilitator, and evolutionary guide, who combines her 40+ year background in human potential development, spirituality and self-employment to help groups and individuals achieve success.

The Return Journey Home

Sue Kenney, pilgrim and award winning author of My Camino, is returning to Own It, Sister! Radio for a second time! She has just returned home from a three month journey with the El Camino de Santiago in Spain. She led a group for 10 days, turned around and walked the Camino “al contrario” for 800 kilometers back to Ste. Jean Pied du Port, and then returned to Santiago for the Feast of St. James in a Holy Year. Sue has recently returned to Canada and is experiencing the truth of her words, “when the Camino ends…the journey just begins.” An engaging storyteller, Sue will share her experience of walking the other way and the impact of the pilgrims she met along the way.
